Over the past few days, Stone Castle Park has been vandalised on more than one occasion. This is disheartening and a frustration for our community. This act not only damages our public spaces but also diverts valuable time and resources of our Grounds team that could have been better spent enhancing our parish. This follows vandalism at the site earlier this year when swings were damaged and contaminated with animal faeces.

SCP vandalism

The Council is aware that this area of Stone Castle Park needs improvement. We will soon be launching a consultation to gather residents’ feedback on how this section of the park might be more effectively utilised. This part of the park presents several challenges due to its location and the foundations on which the park sits. However, by working together with our community, we are optimistic that we can develop a plan to transform this space into a more enjoyable area for everyone.

The matter has been report to the police, if you have any information regarding the recent vandalism, we urge you to contact Stone Parish Council at clerk@stoneparishcouncil.com.
