MP service award

Stone Parish Council has presented its latest award for exceptional or outstanding public service to council employee, Matt Pearce, who has recently celebrated 20 years in post.  At the Full Council meeting on Wednesday, 27th November, Matt, who is the council’s Grounds Maintenance Manager, was recognised for his commitment to maintaining the public realm environment to a consistently high standard.

Jessica McQueen, Chair of Stone Parish Council, praised Matt’s dedication and expertise, stating:
“Matt is a huge asset to our council and community. His understanding of the local area, coupled with his expertise in maintaining and enhancing our public spaces, has had a lasting impact on the parish. His contributions go far beyond his role, often taking on additional duties to support the wider running of the council. We are truly fortunate to have him as part of our team.”

Matt’s two decades of service have been instrumental in shaping the council’s green spaces and outdoor facilities, ensuring they remain accessible, safe, and enjoyable for residents. The council expressed its gratitude with a formal presentation and extended their thanks for his continued commitment.
