This flexible role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outside, has great people skills, and takes pride in maintaining public spaces for the community to enjoy.
About the Role:
As a Park Ranger, you will play a key role in keeping our parks safe, clean, and welcoming for residents and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
🌿 Patrolling parks and open spaces to ensure they are well-maintained and safe
🧹 Litter picking and general tidying to keep the parks clean and presentable
👨👩👧👦 Engaging with the public – providing assistance and answering visitor queries
🔧 Carrying out minor maintenance tasks – reporting any larger issues to the grounds manager
📢 Supporting events held in the park, assisting with setup and stewarding when required
🚲 Encouraging responsible park use – promoting safety and environmental awareness
What We’re Looking For:
✔ A friendly and approachable personality
✔ A reliable and self-motivated worker
✔ A love for outdoor work in all weather conditions
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Good communication skills to interact with the public
✔ A basic level of practical maintenance skills (preferred but not essential)
✔ Flexibility to work shifts on an as-needed basis, including weekends and evenings
