2 – Disclosure of Pecuniary Interests

There were no disclosures of pecuniary interest.

3 – Public Participation

There were no members of the public present at the meeting.

 

4 – Approval of Minutes

The Minutes of the Meeting of the Strategic Planning & Environment Committee held Wednesday 1 October 2025 were approved.

 

5 – Highways Improvement Plan

Members were presented with a list of current highways issues that had been identified within the parish from resident and stakeholder feedback and from the Stone Parish Neighbourhood Plan. For each item, the list outlined the issue and a possible action or improvement that could be explored. Members discussed each item on the proposed Highways Improvement Plan and provided comments, discussing the item’s priority level and any proposals for discussion with Highways officers. Members were also invited to decide whether to suggest any other items or issues to be included at this time or if any items should be removed from the list.

 

Members resolved the priority order and recommendations to present to the full Council for ratification.

 

6 – Town Council Transition

Members were presented with a report detailing the Council’s ongoing transition to a Town Council. The report detailed the current position and progress which had been made and the remaining items to be completed.

Members resolved to note the update on the Town Council transition.

7 – Strategic Plan

Members were presented with the latest draft of the Strategic Plan for discussion and feedback prior to its adoption by the Council. The Clerk clarified the Action Map to members and how it would be used as an internal document. Members discussed in depth each part of the Strategic Plan as presented.

 

Members resolved to approve the proposed Strategic Plan for ratification and adoption by the Full Council.

 

There being no further business the Mayor closed the meeting at 20:31.
