1 – Election of Chairperson

Members were asked for nominations for Chairperson of the Performance & People Committee for 2025-26. A nomination was received for Councillor Mote. There were no other nominations and members unanimously voted to elect Councillor Mote as Chairperson of the Performance & People Committee for 2025-26.

 

 

2 – Election of Vice-Chairperson

Members were asked for nominations for Vice-Chairperson of the Performance & People Committee for 2025-26. A nomination was received for Councillor Cutler. There were no other nominations and members unanimously voted to elect Councillor Cutler as Vice Chairperson of the Performance & People Committee for 2025-26.

 

 

3 – Apologies for Absence

There were no apologies for absence.

 

 

4 – Disclosure of Pecuniary Interests

There were no disclosures of pecuniary interest.

 

 

5 – To resolve to exclude press and public

There were no members of the public present.

 

 

6 – To note current Performance & People Activity Report

 

Members were presented with a report detailing current officer work activity, workforce status, recruitment needs, overtime, absence and attendance information.

 

Members resolved to note the Performance & People Activity Report.

 

 

7 – Update regarding Workforce Structure

Members were presented with an update regarding the current workforce structure outlining the areas in need of cover or further recruitment.

8 – Service areas of focus

Members were presented with the proposed areas of discussion for the remaining P&P Committee meetings of 2025/26. Members discussed the proposed areas of discussion for the remaining P&P Committee meetings.

 

It was proposed that at the November meeting, the areas of focus for discussion would be the Kirby Road Allotments and Estate Maintenance. For the February meeting it was proposed that the area of focus for discussion would be Lizzies Café.

 

Members resolved to approve the proposed areas of discussion for the remaining meetings as presented.
