26/04/19HR: TO NOTE THE APPOINTMENT OF FACILITIES CARETAKER
Members noted the appointment of the facilities caretaker.

28/04/19HR: To NOTE COMPLETION OF QUARTERLY STAFF APPRAISALS AND DISCUSS DEVELOPMENT OF KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Members noted progress of development of KPI’s for staff. Discussion took place regarding the relationship between the KPI’s and respective job descriptions and emerging strategic plan. It was intended that KPI’s enable employees to self monitor performance to determine conformity with expected standards.
29/04/19HR: To DISCUSS ELIGIBILITY AND RESOLVE RECOMMENDATION TO FINANCE & AUDIT COMMITTEE FOR PERFORMANCE-RELATED PAY INCREASES EFFECTIVE FROM APRIL 2019
Members discussed performance-related pay increases effective from April 2019 and resolved to recommend these increases to the Finance & Audit Committee as outlined in appendix A.
30/04/19HR: TO NOTE MATERNITY LEAVE FOR EMPLOYEE 039 AND DISCUSS COVER ARRANGEMENTS
Members noted the requirement for maternity leave for employee 039, expected to commence around August. Discussion followed regarding arrangements for cover during the maternity period. It was left possible to consider absorbing some duties into existing posts with temporary cover possible for duties outside of this. Further consideration will be given to this to enable arrangements to be agreed at the next HR committee.
31/04/19HR: TO NOTE THE END OF APPRENTICESHIP OF EMPLOYEE 040
Members noted the successful completion of employee 040’s horticultural apprenticeship. Members noted disappointment that the pressure on the budget meant it was not possible to continue employment beyond the apprentice period but congratulated employee 040 for achieving the qualification.
