Stone Parish Council was extremely saddened to hear about the unexpected passing of Councillor Peter Harman on Thursday of last week.

Peter represented the local community on many levels as a parish councillor for Stone and Swanscombe & Greenhithe Town Council as well as Dartford Borough Council and Kent County Council. Peter also served in the Fire Service for 35 years and was the Chairman of the Swanscombe & Greenhithe Residents Association.
Peter was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and we are sending his family our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time.
Chair of Stone Parish Council Jessica McQueen said, “Peter was such a hard-working and conscientious man and his work over the years for the community will be remembered. This news has come as a shock to all of us and our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones at this time.”
