Stone Parish Council is delighted to announce that its Clerk, Jennie Thomas, has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious Star Council Awards 2025/26, a national programme that recognises excellence and innovation in parish and town councils across England.
With a record number of nominations submitted from all parts of the country, the judging panel shortlisted candidates who demonstrated outstanding leadership, professional practice, and commitment to their communities. Being named a finalist places Jennie among the leading clerks in the sector.

Jennie Thomas, Clerk to Stone Parish Council, said:
“I’m very honoured to be named a finalist. This recognition reflects not just my work but the dedication of our whole team, who work tirelessly to deliver for the residents of Stone. Being shortlisted at a national level is a wonderful acknowledgement of our collective efforts.”
Winners will be announced at NALC’s Parliamentary Reception at the House of Lords on 24 February 2026.
